The Nike Air Max 1 “Chinatown” takes inspiration from New York City's Chinatown neighborhood. This colorful release features several alterations including a pale red mesh base with black suede overlays and red patent leather detailing. Thick red contrast stitching outlining the translucent plastic Swooshes and a mini Swoosh at the toe add unique touches. Nike places Chinese characters on the tongue and a winged horse in place of traditional Nike Air branding on the heel.
